Chef’s Note: Generally speaking, I do not find myself envious of superhero powers. So many of them have their origins in trauma &/or seem to come with as many encumbrances as benefits.
Also, it is a helpful attitude to possess in terms of maintaining academic perspective and detachment in regards to my professional subject matter.
That said, as said professional scholar, one of my arch-nemeses is a l u k e w a r m &/or COLD cup of coffee. Even the thought of one makes me feel slightly queasy.
Proper coffee is HOT coffee.
As such, I will confess that, after coming across the scene above, I cannot stop thinking about how awesome it would be to be able to warm up a cup of coffee Johnny Storm style.
I would absolutely be willing to be bombarded with cosmic rays to have such an ability. Can you imagine the culinary possibilities?
