Chef’s Note: Clearly the most important question here is what “soda from the eighties” is Owen offering to the Devourer of Worlds?
When we first see a can, on the table in front of Owen, the colors & design seem to evoke Pepsi.
But later when he actually floats one over to Galan, it’s starting to seem more fully red. Then when it’s on the table in front of Galan, it’s definitely red all the way. So, now we’re more in Coke territory maybe?
But other than dominating the market the way they’ve always done, neither Pepsi (est. 1898) nor Coke (est. 1888) are really a “soda from the eighties“.
Personally, given Owen’s mischievous mood, I’m going to go with Jolt “All the sugar and twice the caffeine” Cola – that is legit 80s style in my book.
