Chef’s Note: Our recent discussion of Gert and her double cheeseburger with extra pickles experiment rang a familiar bell for some reason. After a visit to the SEF Archives I was able to track down this less than ideal moment Gert had with a pickle in earlier days.
I have noted before that as a scholar I try to maintain a certain level of objective detachment in regards to my subject matter. But a PICKLE in a BURRITO?! That is just horribly horribly wrong and all good people know it.
The fact that Gert continues to enjoy pickles after suffering this heinous food crime is a testament to her youthful resiliency and overall pluck.
