Chef’s Note: Those of you searching a NYC directory for a “Capelli’s Pizza” will come up empty-handed because it actually lies about six or so hours away in Orchard Park, NY.
It is interesting that this seems to be the JSA’s go-to takeout, given the distant location (though I suppose distance means little to people like Black Adam, Hawkman, or the Sentinel).
Even the owners of Capelli’s, Jodie & Gerry, are pretty low-key about their pizzeria, describing it as “one of Orchard Park’s popular pizza places” – not the best, not the most, just one of many. So humble.
Maybe they just like it because it has the word “cape” in it?
