Chef’s Note: Granny Goodness, as you might guess from this scene, is not a very nice or good person. She is, in fact, the very embodiment of vicious cruelty-Darkseid had Goodness run the training facility for his elite soldiers, where she used brainwashing and torture, in a brutal parody of child care, to turn the innocent into fanatical warriors willing to kill or die for Darkseid’s glory.
And we are shown this quite aptly here with her placing a plate of Jell-O, of all things, just within reach of a man she is starving to death. Might as well offer him a popsicle.
Jello is low in calories but also high in sugar or artificial sweeteners and low in nutrients. While gelatin supplements may have some beneficial effects on your health, it’s unlikely that jello will provide the same benefits.
