Chef’s Note: This scene has become quite an internet favorite, a meme with many multiple lives of its own.
The thing that struck me about this scene is how perfectly it conveys the Hulk’s new way of being in this story (i.e., Bruce Banner’s mind in the Hulk’s body).
In the past, he was a proverbial bull in a china shop, every new accident & interaction inspiring new levels of incoherent rage.
Here, though, we see him being kind and thoughtful and generous. And, more importantly, he is holding out not one, but two, hard shell tacos with one hand!
As most people know, hard shell tacos are one of the most fragile of foods, besting even the most deft and agile of fingers. But for the new Hulk, it’s a walk in the park.
