Chef’s Note: Happy New Beer’s Eve!
Chef’s Note: What in the world happens to Logan’s sandwich in the 8th panel?
I can see Clint and Bobby are messing around, so I’m assuming someone is messing with Logan. He definitely looks surprised. And there’s some pale yellow Kirby-crackle around it, which further indicates something super-powered is going on – but what? I’ve gone up and done the list of everyone present and no one has an “Embiggen Sandwich” power from what I can tell.*
Chef’s Note: More importantly, who eats a sandwich at a BBQ? Unless that’s some kind of Texas Toast burger? Because those are some FAT slices of bread there, Mr. Grummett.
Chef’s Challenge: Can you tell what brand of beer they are drinking? Here’s a hint: If you look closely, you can see the letters “S-O-N” on the side of the can Logan is holding – his fingers covering the first few letters. Therefore, knowing Logan is from Canada, it is only logical to conclude that he is drinking one of Canada’s best known brews: Molson.
As you can see, comic book food archaeology requires acute attention to details, advanced level deductive reasoning, and an exhaustive knowledge of both comic-book as well as culinary history.
Just kidding! In an earlier scene, Tigra notes it specifically – in one of the better insults I’ve ever seen thrown Logan’s way:
* Yes, I know Giant-Man is all about the embiggening & smallifying. And I know previous to this Logan made a sneaky late hit on Hank (hence Tigra getting all clawy). So Hank might be looking for payback.
