Chef’s Note: As highlighted in the title, I think what is of most interest here is the reveal of Benjamin’s culinary skills. Look at that beautiful foot-long hot dog with all the fixings! When you consider what he has to work with in terms of hands, it is no small thing to be able to cook successfully. It’s amazing that he can even hold a coffee cup!
I wonder if he has a special set of cooking tools to accommodate his enormous rocky digits? I wager he’s a fan of cast iron.
Chef’s Note: The name of the diner here poses a minor mystery: Wilson’s Two-In-One Hot Dogs. What does the “two-in-one” refer to? I first assumed it meant that they somehow jammed two hot dogs into a single bun, but that seems like it just wouldn’t work functionally. Also, what Ben serves Joe does seem like just a single weiner.
That said, it is enormous weiner – Joe has to hold it with two hands. Maybe it refers to the amount of beef used – equivalent to two hot dogs? That seems plausible and I’m going to go with it until I hear a better theory.
