Chef’s Note: Yes, I know it’s not Christmas. But it is National Chiffon Cake Day! As you know, chiffon cakes are well-known to be moist, light, and of delicate flavor — so I’m quite confident to name this as the kind of cake that Logan makes for Peter here.
Chef’s Note: I know the big guffaw here is that Logan, the ultimate bad-ass, turns out to be an apron-wearing fluffy pink cake baker. But if you put aside the adolescent giggle, it all really makes sense when you think about it.
Logan has enhanced senses, and that includes smell and taste. Combine that with a very long lifespan and you are looking at someone who, somewhere along the way, probably taught themselves the culinary arts. Why? Because they know just how good food can taste when it’s prepared properly. This is even more true of baking – a much more exact science than cooking.
It is also well-known that such activities can be quite therapeutic with their routines of time and measurements, and Logan certainly needs ways to calm right the hell down. Example: Just prior to all this, Spider-Man throws a cake at Logan’s head to prevent him from disemboweling a department-store Santa Claus.
In front of a bunch of kids.
On Christmas.
Anyways, what’s actually hilarious is that he wears his costume while baking. The toque and his pointy ears – I just can’t.
