Chef’s Note: This cookbook is a truly unique combination of recipes that are either moronically banal or completely gonzo bonkers. This page is a pretty good representation.
We go from Spidey’s Chocolate Web Pancakes, which sounds like a recipe a five year old kid would come up with: squirt some chocolate syrup from a bottle on some pancakes your Mom already made. Voila!
And opposite that is my personal favorite – the world-shattering insanity of Galactus’ “He-Man” Pancakes which contain “any of the following”: Swiss cheese, jelly, applesauce, cinnamon, hot cereal, honey, raisins, Sloppy Joe mix, “meat spreads,” and sliced franks and beans all rolled up in a giant pancake. If making one doesn’t drive you crazy, eating one certainly will.
Bonus! The we-just-need-to-fill-one-more-page-and-we’ll-finally-be-done-with-this-trainwreck Dr. Strange Unnecessary Comma Instant Eatery! If the writers had made any less effort here, they probably would have gone into a coma.
