Chef’s Note: We know the Hulk has his own set of culinary skills – we’ve seen him make both beans and tacos* in the past.
Here we discover he also fancies himself a sammich maker. His plating technique may need some work, but he is savvy enough to know that hippy peanut butter (i.e., raw, without preservatives) needs to be mixed before applying (because the oils and the nut butter settle and separate).
That said, what are to make of this final product? I originally thought this was a classic PB&J, but… ?
It definitely seems like there is an actual jelly substance in there (the erupting pink goo), but it’s hard to see anything that resembles the color or texture of peanut butter.
Instead, there seems to be maybe a piece of swiss cheese (?), maybe a sliced red onion or two (?), or cabbage (?), maybe ham (?) … not to mention random splotches on Hulk himself: orange, red, yellow, etc.
Who knows what extraordinary ingredients may have been employed here? How can we take measure of the Hulk’s cooking chops without knowing the key ingredients??
Signore Caselli: If you would be willing to shed some light on all this, it would be greatly appreciated. Please feel free to contact me.
Chef’s Note: Happy National Sammich Day!
