What kind of respectable butler lacks the ability to make waffles? Furthermore, this flaw is no incidental event – no accident of humidity, chance, or some persnickety griddle. Given that both Tim and Jason agree on this fact means that Alfred Pennyworth has been proudly serving paste-like waffles for years!
I feel like someone should be calling the Daily Planet about this.
Chef’s Note: Beyond this, there is the simple fact that Tim offers Jason breakfast – after all they’ve been through, after everything. Offering and sharing food with people, even the people… especially the people… that you need to work something through with, can be a powerful thing. Jason’s change of posture from crouched-and-ready-to-spring-away to pulling-up-a-chair-and-taking-off-the-hood speaks to this.*
