Chef’s Note: It most definitely is a metaphor for something, Jaime!
We have seen before that superheroes must often forgo meals to engage in various superheroic pursuits – a pretty straightforward metaphor for self sacrifice, a standard aspect of hero types.
Here we see a troubling variation: a superhero’s very own costume denying them their meal. A whole monologue just a moment ago about the delicate balance involved in being a superhero vs being a regular and here comes your suit pulling a grade school prank on you.
Intentional or not, talk about a lot to process!
All that said, he should just check in with Miles Morales, who, as we have seen, has a mysterious yet stylish solution for the sandwich-in-the-pocket issue.
Chef’s Note: It is clear that there is a sammich in one of those two ziploc bags. What kind? Other than white bread, we apparently will never know.
But there is the further question of what the what is in the other bag? Alfalfa sprouts? Arugula? Mung Beans? Brussels sprouts? Guacamole & refried beans? What is one to make of this?
Mr. Kolins? Feel free to contact me to clarify this mystery.
