Chef’s Note: Along with super strength and the ability to fly, Superman adds a new superpower to his repertoire in this issue – the power to gross people out.
Chef’s Note: The distinctive triple golden arches in the background on the cover are a nod to a popular fast food chain on Superman’s home planet Krypton known as McMon-El’s.*
Chef’s Note: Speaking of restaurants that don’t exist, I have searched high & low for any reference to a hamburger joint named “MacTavish’s” and have come up empty handed. You would think there would be some evidence of the existence of a place that has sold over 10 billion “Mac Biggies” – but no. Could it be made up? You know comic book writers.
Chef’s Note: If you own a restaurant, I highly recommend you put a poster in your window that says “Superman Ate Here” – it increased sales by 1 billion in the space of one afternoon for MacTavish’s. Quite impressive!
Chef’s Note: Is it just me, or does “Donald MacTavish” look an awful lot like The Joker?
* No. Not really.
