Chef’s Note: One delicious, delicious infidel sammich in the case is labelled with a simple question mark (?) – this is both unacceptable and unprofessional.
Ms. Wilson &/or Mr. Alphona (or Bruno for that matter), if you are reading this, please let us know what sammich type this was at your earliest convenience – future generations of comic-book food archaeologists thank you.
Chef’s Note: What is Badgerade?* Is it a New Jersey thing? Is it made of badgers or do badgers make it for sale?
Gatorade, for example, is made of alligator tears – that’s common knowledge.
As a Muslim I don’t remember when was the last time I walked into a shop and said “dElIcoUs iNfiDeL mEaT”.
Also we don’t go around calling people infidels, infact this word has christian bases.
It’s true, the term “infidel” comes from the French:
The proper Muslim term is kafir–
All that said, I think Kamala was just making a joke.
Note: An alternating caps version of this would properly be rendered thusly—
I kbow that it’s comics and applauded for Marvel to depict diversity…
But there was a time on twitter where they given this matter of ‘infidel meat’ a religious turn! People can’t be patient in entertainment things nowadays… Always triggered…
Anyways, as usage of term ‘infidel meat’ who’s accountable either Kamala Khan or the story writer of the same at Marvel?
Bcoz, they said Katy Percy, Jewish mutant wouldn’t refer bacon as ‘goyim meat’…
So being a typical redirection to Islamophobia…
Stanley said it’s the writers mind, ideas, hopes, etc… who write comics in desired way that affects the character to have such trait which defines their behaviour any longer in future…
So if Spider-Man is being friendly neighborhood, it was the Stanley & Steve Ditko’s characteristic ideas for him…
But they kept being ignorant & dumb to call out Kamala Khan as being stereotypic, racial which shows their misunderstood notion of muslims being alike so… Again in turn they’re being stereotypic…
It’s like being hero to tackle villain, but instead becomes another villain…
