Chef’s Note: Of the many forms of revenge human beings have dreamt up over time, I have to say that what Wanda does to Dreamqueen here is both remarkable and downright chilling in its singularity of sadism and cruelty.
Food aversions are very much a thing, but, thankfully, they tend to be focused on a particular food item, not all and every form of food.
Can you imagine being forced to subside on food that you found repulsive? That every single meal was nauseating and loathsome? That eating food, the thing that is supposed to make you feel nourished and whole and fulfilled, instead fills you with disgust and sickens you – makes you recoil and heave?
Agony, indeed.
Seriously, remind me to never piss off Wanda Maximoff.
Chef’s Note: It should also be noted that sarmales are generally not flavored with pain & suffering & nightmares. Traditionally, they employ more of a smoked meat, parsley, dill, and onion vibe which, I’m sure I don’t need to tell you, is MUCH better in terms of flavor options.
Chef’s Note: Happy National Cabbage Day!
